Frequently Asked Questions
Water & Cups
CUP FREE FINISH
All 3W Races events maintain a cup free finish area. This means that water will be available for refilling your personal water bottles. You're always welcome to leave your LABELED water bottle at the finish line and it will be there when you return! Biodegradable, cups will be used on the course, but no disposable cups will be available at the finish line. Thank you! Dogs & Strollers
Dogs and Strollers are welcome at these events. Please keep your well behaved dog on a leash at all times. As some of the course locations encounter foot bridges or various surfaces, use caution when running with a stroller as there may be some slippery surfaces or erosion created potholes.
Can my child run with me? Do I have to register them/pay for them?Of course your kiddo can participate!
If your child stays in the stroller the whole race, no, you do NOT have to register them as a separate participant. Our rule is, if they are using their own two feet to participate in one of our races, then, YES, you do need to register them. This is due to safety, participant counts for city permits and calculation of materials needed for the race! Pictures
Pictures are available for FREE DOWNLOAD and links to the sites where they are posted are published on each individual race website. They are generally posted on the SAME DAY as the event!
Course Cut-Off Time
1/2 marathon course support and timing will be open for 3:30:00. Racers must average at least 16 minutes per mile to remain on the course and receive course support.
Refer to the Walkers FAQ regarding participating at a slower pace. Shirts and Race Swag
The shirt is the same style, cut and logo design for all distances at one event. For example, in the fall when you're running the event in Westminster, 5k and Half Marathon participants will receive the SAME design of shirt.
On race day, you may visit the 3W Races table/tent in the expo to exchange shirt sizes or purchase additional shirts while supplies last. Swag (shirts, medals, etc) will NOT be mailed to participants. All pick ups must be done in-person. If the style of race shirts change from race to race can I change my shirt size for each event depending on the "cut" of the shirt? Yes, you can make this change through your RunSignUp profile. Packet Pick Up
Can't make it to advanced packet pick up? Send a friend, family member or teammate! We will allow others to pick up for you. Yes, there is same day pick up available starting 60-90 minutes before the first race starts. Avoid the lines; pick up early! It's not a secret...it makes race day run smoother for everyone when you pick up your gear in advance. That's why we give special raffle prizes and other cool stuff away to those who pick up early!!
If you can't make it to advanced packet pick up and have to miss out on the race we are unable to get you your packet. We try not to be wasteful; so all packets must be picked up. Unfortunately we cannot hold it for you to pick up or mail it to you after the race. If you can't run for any reason, please feel free to still pick up your packet at advanced packet pick up or on race day. Forgot if you're registered?
